Last updated: October 2, 2026

Homeschooling After Hours provides homeschool articles, free resources, planning tools, and digital products for parents and caregivers. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you visit homeschoolingafterhours.com, join our email list, contact us, or use our shop.

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@homeschoolingafterhours.com.

Information you provide

We collect information you choose to provide, including:

  • Email signups: your email address, any name you provide, and the signup form or resource associated with your subscription.
  • Messages: your contact information and the contents of messages you send us.
  • Orders and accounts: information entered during checkout or account registration, such as your name, email address, billing details, and order information.
  • Comments: information entered in a comment form. Published comments and the name you submit may be visible to other visitors.

Please avoid sending sensitive information, children’s identifying information, or private school records in comments, signup forms, or support messages unless it is necessary to resolve your request.

Information collected when you visit

Our website and service providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring website, and access times. This information supports site delivery, security, troubleshooting, and shop functionality.

Our WooCommerce shop may also record how you arrived at the shop and interactions related to a cart or order. Information associated with a purchase can help us understand which sources lead visitors to our products.

How we use information

We use information to provide downloads and account access; process and support orders; respond to questions; manage email subscriptions; send the emails you sign up for; maintain and protect the website; understand shop and email performance; and keep records needed for business administration, disputes, or legal obligations.

Email subscriptions and free downloads

We use Hostinger Reach to manage our email list and send marketing emails. When you submit a signup form that explains you are joining our list, your information is passed to Hostinger Reach for subscription management.

For example, the Family Gratitude Stories signup offers access to the free booklet after submitting the form and also signs you up for homeschool ideas, free resources, and occasional product updates. If a confirmation step is enabled, follow the confirmation instructions to complete your subscription.

Hostinger Reach may record delivery information, email opens, link clicks, subscription status, and information about the signup source. Email-open measurements may be affected by privacy features in your email app. Connected shop features may associate purchase or abandoned-cart activity with a subscriber to support relevant messages.

You can stop marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in an email or contacting us at hello@homeschoolingafterhours.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary order, account, or support messages.

Hostinger explains its handling of information in its Privacy Policy.

Our shop and payment services

Our shop uses WooCommerce to manage products, accounts, orders, and digital downloads. Order records can include billing and contact details, purchased products, order status, and information needed to provide access to downloads.

If an online payment method is offered at checkout, the payment provider identified there processes the information required for that transaction under its own privacy policy. Payment-related information returned to the shop can include transaction identifiers and payment status. Do not send card numbers or banking credentials to us by email.

Cookies and browser storage

WordPress, WooCommerce, and related site services use cookies or similar browser storage for features such as login sessions, shopping carts, preferences, security, and purchase attribution.

If you leave a comment and choose to save your details, your browser may remember your name, email address, and website for future comments. Login cookies keep you signed in and may last longer when you select “Remember Me.”

You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking them may prevent some account or shopping features from working. Where the site provides a cookie-choice interface, you can use it to manage the choices it offers.

Comments and outside content

When comments are enabled, WordPress may collect your IP address and browser information to help detect spam. If Gravatar is used, an encoded identifier derived from your email address may be sent to that service to check for a profile image. See Automattic’s Privacy Policy for information about Gravatar.

Some pages link to or display content from outside services. Embedded videos, tools, or other content can connect directly to those providers, which may receive technical information and use their own cookies. Their privacy policies apply to those interactions.

Affiliate links and other websites

Articles may contain affiliate links. If you follow one and make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission. The retailer or affiliate service may use cookies and referral identifiers to attribute the purchase.

Information you give to another website is handled under that website’s policies. Our policy does not govern outside retailers, social networks, or services you access through links.

Who receives information

Information is shared as needed with services that host and operate the website, manage email subscriptions, process payments when available, or support security and technical maintenance. These include Hostinger for hosting and email-list services. Authorized site administrators and support providers may access information needed for their work.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security issues, or a legal claim. Service providers may process information in countries other than where you live.

How long information is kept

We keep information for the purposes described here. Subscriber records are maintained to manage subscriptions; limited unsubscribe records may remain to prevent further marketing emails. Order and support records may be retained for customer service, accounting, dispute handling, and legal obligations.

The shop currently has no fixed automatic deletion schedule for completed orders or inactive accounts. Comments and their associated information may remain until removed. Backups and provider systems may retain copies for additional periods.

Your choices and requests

You can unsubscribe from marketing, manage browser cookies, update available account details, and contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including rights to object to certain processing or request a copy of your information.

Send requests to hello@homeschoolingafterhours.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to your information. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-related purposes.

Children’s privacy

Our website, shop, and email signup forms are intended for adult parents and caregivers. Educational resources may be used with children under adult supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our signup forms or shop.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Protecting information

We use available hosting and website safeguards to help protect information. No website, email service, or storage system can guarantee complete security. Use a strong account password and avoid sharing login details.

Changes and contact information

We may revise this policy when our services or practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law.
